So, we started the school year today. Yesterday we made preparations such as gathering supplies, organizing books, desks, etc. I bought each of the kids a small dry-erase board to use for notes and such. One of my children wrote at the bottom of his board, "whatever you do, do it whole-heartily." WOW! Boy was I surprised when I caught a glimpse of it last night before bed. No prompting or anything like that. If that can come out of a "child" (sh, don't tell him I said that), how much more should we as adults try to keep that concept in mind.
It's easy to get side-tracked and begin to just go through the motions. You know, I tell my children all the time to listen with their brain and not just their ears. That's what we do at times. We listen but we're not REALLY listening. We're serving, but not REALLY serving. We're giving, but not REALLY giving. We're praying but not REALLY praying. You see, we must do it whole-heartily. There is a difference and the results are definitely noticeable.
What if we woke up each day, ready to live that day unto the Lord and do everything to the best of our ability. What would happen if we didn't get side-tracked and become robots doing life? What if we put as much effort into spiritual things as we do temporal things. Don't you think we would be better Christians for doing so?
Just something to ponder upon. I REALLY want to make the right choices and serve the Lord with my whole heart! God bless, thanks for reading...please consider sharing this blog with your friends and family.
